 Business Transitions

In the event of a business transition, such as a merger or acquisition by another company or if a portion of TechBasics’ assets are sold, your Personal Information may be part of the transferred assets. Disclosure of your Personal Information in such a scenario, or during contemplation of such a scenario, shall be deemed consistent with this Policy.

Your rights

Additionally, if you are a European resident we note that we are processing your information in order to fulfill contracts we might have with you (for example if you make an order through the Site), or otherwise to pursue our legitimate business interests listed above.  Additionally, please note that your information will be transferred outside of Europe, including to Canada and the United States.

Data Retention

When you place an order through the Site, enrol in a program, signup for a newsletter, or use the contact form, we will maintain your Information for our records unless and until you ask us to delete this information. If you submit a copy of a government-issued ID for account or enrolment verification purposes, we delete that copy 30 days after submission.

TechBasics takes reasonable precautions to protect your information. Given the nature of the Internet, no network security measures are completely impenetrable, as such TechBasics cannot guarantee the security of Personal Information submitted through the Site.

We may update this privacy policy from time to time in order to reflect, for example, changes to our practices or for other operational, legal or regulatory reasons. TechBasics recommends that you review this Policy frequently. If changes to this Policy are made we will notify you to this change via email or by notice of TechBasics’ home page. The changes will not be effective against you until such a notice is provided. Note that you have assented to the change through continued use of the Site.
